The SERNANP (National Service of Protected Areas) is a Specialized Government Organization, in charge of establishing and establishing the technical and administrative criteria for the conservation of Protected Natural Areas - ANP, and of protecting the maintenance of biological diversity in Peru.
As usual, every year SERNANP organizes the cleaning and conservation works of the famous route Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, in order to conserve the biodiversity and ecosystems of this incredible Natural Protected Area. This important activity took place on May 16, 17 and 18 of this year, which began in the city of Cusco with the trip in buses and then by train of a group of volunteer enthusiasts and environmentalists to the indicated area . This year the Clean Up Campaign of the Inca Trail had the help and participation of some Authorized Operators Agencies of the Inca Trail Network of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

We, Incredible Peru Tours as a travel agency that practices sustainable and responsible tourism, there is no time to sponsor this important clean-up campaign. Our collaborators with gloves and bags in hand. The 3 days working along the route, collecting all the waste they found on the route and in the surrounding area. In this opportunity they collected: plastic containers, paper bottles, plastic bags, papers, cans, disused clothes, pieces of cloth, wrappings of various products and organic waste, among others.After the collection of the waste found, these were selected according to their type, separating them into organic and inorganic waste, and then they were sent to the freight train for their respective recycling. It should be noted that this time it was possible to collect more than 400 kg of waste.
